Research Review and Application Prospect of Secondary Equipment Condition Monitoring

  As equipment in digital substation all follow IEC61850,it makes information sharing and interoperability the biggest differences between the digital and the conventional.It makes condition-based maintenance (CBM) which relies on high performance condition monitoring system feasible.Condition monitoring usually includes functions such as condition data visualization,alarm processing,fault diagnosis,etc.In digital substations,the condition of protection and control equipment,network and communication links can be acquired,which makes developing a full sense condition monitoring system feasible.This paper analyzes current research and application situations of key technologies such as information modelling and warning processing and fault diagnosis are introduced.We summarize and compare the advantages and shortcomings of various data analysis and processing methods of condition monitoring.Considering the condition data acquisition and storage,we propose a method of secondary equipment condition data acquisition and storage based on SCD.We design a dual-buffer mechanism to make sure the acquired condition data can be stored completely and timely.Finally,combining with the current research situations of secondary equipment condition monitoring and practical application,we discussed the prospect and future research directions of secondary equipment condition monitoring.
