Requirements for Configuration Management for Operational Technology
Network operators face a growing number of digital assets (IED’s) and complex configuration files.This makes it increasingly important to keep track over settings,configuration files,etc.Network operators have some form of configuration management in place already,but this should be developed further and integrated in the processes and organization structure of the network operator.This paper describes the results of an investigation into the application of configuration management at network operators.Important issues with respect to configuration management are identified.These issues are classified and related to the business goals of the network operators.It becomes clear that some kind of a configuration management system is needed to solve all the issues and reach the objectives of the network operators.Some general requirements for such a system are given already.
