Investigation of the parallel seismic DDA method for dynamic response of the engineering rock mass structures
To accurately and efficiently simulate the seismic dynamic response of the engineering rock mass structures using the discontinuous deformation analysis(DDA)method, two modifications are made. One modification is the seismic input of the DDA method. The seismic DDA method improved by the viscous boundary and the force input method is presented, and the simulation results show that the force input method can not only consider the wave propagation across the engineering rock mass structures, but also guarantee the scattered wave is perfectly absorbed at the viscous boundary.Another modification is the high performance computing of the DDA method.Parallel solution of the DDA linear equations with the block conjugate gradient using Jacobi pre-processing(Jacobi-PCG)iterative method is constructed based on the OpenMP,and the simulation results demonstrate that the adoptive parallel strategy can greatly enhance computational efficiency.
