Dispersion-independent optical transmissions through single sideband modulation using a Dual-Electroabsorption Modulated Laser

  Single-sideband Intensity Modulation-Direct Detection systems are known for providing range extension of dispersion limited optical transmissions.A monolithically integrated dual RF access electro-absorption modulated laser (D-EML) has been developed and tested exhibiting record performance.
