Protection Path-Based Hitless Spectrum Defragmentation for Elastic Optical Networks:1+1 Path Protection

摘要：

　　We propose a protection path-based spectrum defragmentation approach to improve the spectrum utilization of an elastic optical network under the 1+1 path protection technique.Results show that the proposed approach can significantly improve spectral efficiency compared to the case without defragmentation.
