64-channel hybrid (de)multiplexer enabling wavelength- and mode-division multiplexing for on-chip optical interconnects
A silicon hybrid (de)multiplexer with 64 channels to enable wavelength-and mode-division multiplexing simultaneously is proposed and demonstrated for the first time.The hybrid (de)multiplexer has a 4-channel mode demultiplexer and four 16-channel arrayed-waveguide gratings.
