Birefringence Redress in PMF with Arc Discharging and Application in Precision Quarter-waveplate Fabrication

　　The birefringence redress in conventional polarization-maintaining fiber (PMF) and polarization-maintaining photonic crystal fiber (PM-PCF) was realized with arc discharging.A fiber waveplate fabrication setup was made and precision PM-PCF quarter waveplates (QWPs) were fabricated.
