Y-branch edge coupler between cleaved single mode fiber and nano-scale waveguide on silicon-on-insulator platform

摘要：

　　A novel edge coupler between a cleaved fiber and a nano-scale waveguide is proposed.The simulated lowest coupling loss is 0.5 dB and 1.0 dB for TE and TM modes with large 3-dB alignment tolerance.
