Coded Modulation for Undersea Optical Fiber Communications

　　We present an overview of single parity check based bit interleaved coded modulation in fiber optic systems.Coded modulation achieves high SNR sensitivity and large Euclidean distance and enables absolute phase detection without pilot symbols.
