Syntactic Distribution of Motion Agents Concept from the Redundancy of Leg Nouns
This article uses the theory of lexicalization typology of motion event to study the sentences of body movement,and arguing that the occurrence of Nleg is not only the result of the pragmatic effect,but also the result of the combined effect of the semantic differences among leg verbs and construction meaning of the sentence which meets the principle of syntactic-semantic harmony.We find that the semantic role of leg nouns in self-contained motion is figure and patient and that the self-contained motion is atypical in syntactic and semantic representation.
