Partially-Averaged Navier-Stokes Simulations of Bluff Body Flows
Compact and efficient high-order methods on unstructured grids remain one of the main challenges in solving hyperbolic conservation laws.This paper proposes a novel compact and implicit reconstruction procedure for high-order finite volume methods.This procedure can be used to reconstruct arbitrary high-order polynomials on unstructured grids in terms of a very compact stencil involving only the face-neighbors.An efficient high order finite volume method is obtained when the reconstruction procedure is combined with implicit time integration approaches.The accuracy,convergence performance and efficiency of the new high order finite volume method are demonstrated by its application to several benchmark test cases.
