Adjoint-based Anisotropic Mesh Adaptation for the Correction Procedure via Reconstruction Method
In this paper,we develop an adjoint-based h-adaptation method to control and minimize the output or functional error.A dual-consistent high-order Correction Procedure via Reconstruction formulation (CPR) is utilized to obtain the adjoint solution and the output-based error indicator. The optimal refinement option including the isotropic and anisotropic adaptations is determined by an output-error sampling procedure. The present method is applied to the 2D Euler and Navier-Stokes equations.Several numerical tests demonstrate the ability of the proposed method to efficiently reduce functional errors in terms of the number of degrees of freedom (DOFs).
