On the use of Residual-Based Compact high-order numerical dissipation for Implicit Large Eddy Simulation

  The use of suitable high accurate numerical techniques is of most importance for the simulation of turbulent flows since they enable capturing flow structures from large to small scales at an acceptable computational cost.In this work,a family of high order residual-based compact (RBC) schemes is applied to selected test cases to assess its capability for the implicit large eddy simulation (ILES) of turbulent flows.
