Analysis of Various Scale Resolving Turbulence Models to Capture Cycle-to-Cycle Variations in IC Engines

Internal combustion engines exhibit significant cycle-to-cycle variations (CCV) caused by flow instabilities.Despite the current established practice to calculate IC engine flows and combustion with URANS type models,only highly resolved scale resolving simulations (SRS) are capable to capture these cyclic fluctuations.
