Effects of Sewage Sludge for Agriculture on Soil Microbial Quantitative Distribution

Considering the dewatered sludge from municipal sewage treatment plant in Hefei as the test material and the pot experiment as the testing method, the effects on soil microbial quantitative distribution on the surface and above 10cm layer was discussed, after the soil treated by the 6 kinds of Sewage sludge with different concentrations of heavy metal. The result showed that microbial populations were varied with different concentrations. The optimum concentration of bacterial growth was the expansion of 1-6 times (Cu≤600mgkg-1,Zn≤1800mg?kg-1,Pb≤500mg?kg-1,Cd≤15mg?kg-1).The optimum concentration of actinomycetic growth was the expansion of 2 times (Cu≤200mg?kg-1,Zn≤600mg? Kg-1,Pb≤160mg?kg-1,Cd≤4mg?kg-1).The optimum concentration of fungal growth was the expansion of 4 times (Cu≤400mg?kg-1,Zn≤1200mg?kg-1,Pb≤300mg?kg-1,Cd≤8mg?kg-1).In addition to the quantitative distribution of actinomycetes above 10cm layer less than on the surface of soil, the quantitative distribution of bacteria and fungi on the surface of soil was more than above 10cm layer.Research shows that, the sequence of the sensitivity to the heavy metal in sludge among three kinds of microorganisms is usually: actinomycetes>bacteria>fungi. The agricultural sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plant in Hefei has certain effect on soil microbial quantitative distribution.
