Contributions of Precursor Gas Emissions to the Formation of Secondary Atmospheric PM2.5: Ammonia Gas and Ammonium Aerosols
As a criteria pollutant,PM2.5 not only adversely affects human health and environment, but also contributes to regional haze.It has become a growing concern to the scientific community, regulatory agencies, and the public. In atmosphere, fine particulate matter consists of primary PM2.5 and secondary PM2.5.The primary PM2.5 is emitted directly to the atmosphere whereas the secondary PM2.5 is formed in the atmosphere through photochemical reaction, condensation and other atmospheric processes.
