Research on Syngas Production from Gasification and Catalytic Reforming of Environmental Hydrocarbons Using External Heating Technology
Environmental hydrocarbons are renewable low-grade hydrocarbon resources in natural including agricultural and forestry wastes, urban organic waste, sewage sludge, manure and so on,and they un-appropriate disposal has caused serious environmental pollution.External heating gasification technology could be introduced to transfer environmental hydrocarbons to syngas as high quality fuel or organic materials production. This research established a pilot system of catalytic reforming and gasification of environmental hydrocarbons by using micro-biomass fuel as heating source, basing on the previous technology of micro-biomass fuel and principles of volume crushing and solids furnace. In this experiment, the mixtures of 50% biomass and 50% sewage sludge were used as gasification feedstock with the capacity reached 150m3/h,obtained the gasification efficiency of 85% and hydrogen content of 50%.At the same time, tar conversion efficiency was proved to be as high as 90%.
