Comparison on the Effect of Brilliant Blue and NaCl Transport in Porous Column
Nowadays, solute transport in porous media is an important issue in hydrogeology and engineering geology and tracer experiment is an important method in these researches. In order to study the Non-Fickian transport and reactive solute transport in porous media,one-dimensional physical models of homogeneous porous media were set up based on the review and analysis of the related previous studies.Tracer tests were carried out with chromogenic tracer (Brilliant Blue) and nonreactive tracer (NaCl).The corresponding numerical model was created then. The following conclusions were drawn as: (1)the breakthrough curves (BTCs) of solute transport in the homogeneous porous media show a regular normal distribution. The Non-Fickian phenomena as early arrival of peak value and the long tailings are not significant; (2) the pesk value of Brilliant Blue arrives earlier than NaCls.That means Brilliant Blue transport with flow faster than that of NaCl; (3) Brilliant Blue concentration arrived a much bigger peak than NaCl concentration did,and the Brilliant Blue peak is closer to injection concentration,so in the process of transport,Brilliant Blue losses less; and (4) the pesk value of Brilliant Blue increases with the transport distance decrease obviously,BTC width becomes larger; with the increase of the Brilliant Blue concentration flow velocity,BTC coverage decreases,NaCl concentration did not change much in both of the cases.
