Study on Treatment of Carbon Disulfide by Biological Trickling-filter

  The removal of CS2 in biotrickling filter was investigated using a homemade biotrickling filter with a counterflow operation of gas and liquid.The gas flew from the bottom up,nutrient fluid sprayed from top to bottom.The trend about low concentration of CS2 was discussed in biotrickling filter under different inlet concentrations and a different nutrient fluid conditions.The results show that: the removal efficiency of CS2 reached about 70% after first 45 days in biotrickling filter.The removal efficiency of CS2 was increased and the elimination capacity was also increased linearly when the inlet concentration was increased; But the change of the spray liquid flow rate showed little effects on the removal efficiency and the elimination capacity of CS2.
