Extraction of Vanadium, Chromium and Dephosphorization in Hot Metal
The oxidation behavior of vanadium, chromium and phosphorus in hot metal were investigated through experiments. The result shows that both lg(LV)and lg(LCr)decrease with the increase of basicity. However,lg(LP)increases with the increase of basicity.Within the basicity range of 1.33 to 1.78,lg(LV)range from 2.21 to 2.44,lg(LCr)range from 2.29 to 2.50 and lg(LP)range from 1.36 to 1.64.lg(LV)and lg(LCr)increase with the increase of w(FeO)in the slag, while lg(LP)decreases under the same condition. The oxidation ratio of chromium and vanadium decreases slightly with the increase of basicity, while the oxidation ratio of phosphorus increases significantly. The oxidation ratio of vanadium, chromium and phosphorus range from 84.3%-90.3%,85.7%-91%and 43.6%-58.2%,respectively.This means that extraction of vanadium and chromium with simultaneous dephosphorization in hot metal can be achieved under a low basicity condition.
