High Efficient, Environmental and Safety Oriented EAF for Modern Steel Making
The economical,safe and environmentally responsible operations of EAFs are key elements of modern steel melting technology.SMS Group has developed various technologies for increasing and optimizing the performance of EAFs for scrap,DRI and hot metal based operations.These technologies can be applied to new plants as well as revamps and modernization projects of existing furnaces and often unite profitability with safety,such as for the automatic slag door Condoor?,the anthropomorphic robot for temperature and sampling or the automatic cleaning and opening of the EBT tap hole.In other cases they unite profitability with eco-sustainability such as,for example,with efficient fume treatment plants and off-gas energy recovery,dynamic furnace control via FEOS(Furnace Energy Optimization System)linked with off-gas analysing and burner control of chemical packages optimized for both scrap or DRI based furnaces.
