Dynamic Simulation of Ladle Treatment Process of Steel-New Software and Method for Technology Optimization
In this study the mathematical models,algorithms and software for dynamic simulation of ladle treatment technology of steel in ladle furnace and vacuum degasser were developed and created a new method of technology optimization.The inclusion control procedures using the fractional gas analysis method to increase the steel cleanliness,to detect sources of inclusions origin during the ladle treatment were developed.The method of quantitative metallography,X-ray microprobe and fractional gas analysis were applied for the basic oxygen species identification and their quantity determination in the probes sampled from the ladle furnace,ladle vacuum degasser and tundish during the ladle treatment and casting of rail steel.It was demonstrated that ladle treatment technologies of different steels grades can be optimized using combination of software designed and fractional gas analysis method to provide the favourable composition of oxide inclusions and to increase the steels quality.
