Water Model Study on Removing Inclusions in RH Degasser
A water model was established to study inclusion behaviour in RH degasser by choosing emulsion drops simulated as inclusions.The effects of lifting gas flow rate and snorkel immersion depth on inclusion removal in the RH degasser were investigated,and the circulation flow rate under those operation parameters was also measured to reveal its effect on inclusion removal.The results show that there are two optimal lifting gas flow rates for inclusion removal,accordingly,there exist two circulation flow rates with the best inclusion removal rates.It seems that there is a snorkel immersion depth with the best inclusion removal efficiency.
