Gradient Functional Refractories for High Efficient Con-Casting

　　Functional refractories for con-casting are important supporting materials for the efficient operation of steel manufacturing process.With the rapid development of technology,functional refractories with high reliability and long service life are necessary for high efficient steel con-casting.Since the service characteristics of functional refractories are seriously affected by multi-factor application environments and unbalanced corrosion process,its necessary to take all of these factors into account to effectively improve their properties.In this paper,the gradient idea is introduced in optimizing the composition and structure of functional refractories to increase the thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance to meet the demands for high reliability and long service life,respectively.And the practical application results in steel plants in China illustrate that the reliability,service life and characteristics of functional refractories are significantly improved with gradient composition and structure.
