Effect of Basicity on the Heat Transfer Property of Peritectic Steel Mold Flux with Glass Color Agent

  During the solidification process of peritectic steel(PS),heat-absorption ability of peritectic mold flux affect the surface longitudinal cracks ratio.Many previous researches revealed that glass color agent affected the heat absorption ability of heat-absorption glass directly.In this paper,glass color agent(Co2O3,NiO,Fe2O3)were first chosen to add into PS mold flux simultaneously for changing the heat absorption ability.With the heat flux density analysis,the optimal content was found to be 2.0wt%Co2O3,3.0wt%NiO and 3.0wt%Fe2O3.In order to optimize the mold flux with glass color agent,samples with different basicity was tested.It was found the basicity of 1.4 was the best.As a result,the optimal content was CaO(35.67wt%),SiO2(25.48wt%),Al2O3(3.7wt%),Na2O(8wt%),CaF2(14wt%),Co2O3(2wt%),NiO(3wt%),Fe2O3(3wt%).
