Process Optimization and Application of Hot-Rolled High-Carbon Steel in Thin Slab Process
Considering the characteristics of FTSR thin-slab process and the performance of high-carbon steel such as its hot ductility,we use low superheat,optimize the composition of mold flux and strengthen the secondary cooling intensity during the CC technology design.With the new techniques the surface entrapped slag,lamination and inside cracks are controlled,and also the occurrence of sticking is decreased.Furthermore,in order to develop high quality hot-rolled high-carbon steel in thin slab process,heating rules and controlled cooling were studied.Results showed that single face decarburization depth is less than 0.8%of strips thickness,and it has appropriate hardness after heat-treatment.
