Production Application and Optimization of the CT80 Pipeline Steel for the Coiled Tubing

  This paper describes the optimization of the desulfurization process in the production of CT80 pipeline.Based on the formation mechanism and the influence factors of the occurrence of HIC,measures have been taken to control the sulfur content in steel to the minimum and consolidate the rest sulfur to avoid the formation of Ca-O-S compound.After adjustment and optimization of the processes,the sulfur content decreases to the range of 0.0004%-0.0009%and the average sulfur content of the product is 0.0007%.Appropriate extension of soft-blowing after calcium treatment in RH vacuum degasser and appropriate soft-blowing flow can significantly reduce the number of inclusions.The average reduction is 46%.The average surface temperature of slab reduces 38℃ and the segregation improves significantly by increasing the consumption of secondary cooling from 0.5 l/kg to 0.77 l/kg.continuous casting slab center segregation Obviously improved,segregation become fragmented and narrower.steel plate banded structure removing,effectively improve its fatigue life,The quality control received the anticipative effect.
