The Integrated Technique Research on the Mass Production of Container Steel
Since WISCOs CSP line has been put into production in 2009,the funnel shape mold is taken in the continuous casting process,which is characteristic for the high casting speed and cooling strength.Compared to the conventional casting machines,high bleed-out ratio and poor surface quality are two major problems of thin slab continuous casting machine.For the special composition design,it takes the high risks to product the container steel than the conventional casting machines.Combining with the characteristic of CSP process,the systematic study has been taken on the casting by the means of developing the purity control technology,light calcium treatment technology,leaking control technology,cooling system optimization,adjust the protective slag performance,steady casting technology,control surface defects and a series of technology in container steel production.So far,the mass production of the container steel has been realized,by 2012,it had a monthly capacity of 40000 tons.The production practice indicated that,container steel light calcium treatment can meet the CSP stable casting,steel bleed-out rate has been controlled in ≤ 0.3%,every single package in the continuous casting times has been raised to 8 ladles,the maximum has been raised to 13 ladles; surface defect scar revision rate has been in ≤ 1.5%each steel coil.Container steel casting process is stable,the slab quality can be controlled,and the production cost has been reduced.
