The Research on the Application of Online English Corpus in Data-driven Learning

摘要：

　　Large online English corpora are important resources for English learners data-driven learning owing to their large size, authentic language, easy accessibility and free online use.Based on the analysis of the main design features of the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA), a large online English corpus, this paper explored the potential areas to make use of the rich, authentic and natural linguistic resources of online English corpora to implement data-driven learning (DDL) in English as a foreign language (EFL) learning environment.It is hoped that the effectiveness of foreign language teaching and learning can be enhanced with the sufficient use of online English corpora.
