Research on the Accelerated Thermal Cycling Test of Aviation Electrical Connectors

　　Electrical connectors are widely used in the aviation, aerospace, telecommunications and other industries.The effect of temperature cycling on electrical connectors is a very slow process.Based on the accelerated life test theory, this paper provides one accelerated thermal cycling test scheme, including the type and level of accelerated stresses, the temperature variation rate, the number of thermal cycles and so on.The test data shows that: with the increase of the cycle number, the contact resistance of the contacts increases slowly;the test data were analyzed by Grey model and the extrapolated value of thermal cycling life was calculated.Every increase of temperature stress by 20℃, thermal cycling life of electrical connectors will be reduced by about 34%.
