Study on Reliability of Magnetic Slot Wedge Operation in Large Wind-Power Generator
The use of magnetic slot wedge in electric machines often goes wrong. Its easy to fall off and crush because of the force. This has serious impact on the reliability of the electric machines running.Aiming at various faults in the electric machine running conditions, with a 2.5 MW squirrel-cage asynchronous wind-power generator as an example, using ANSOFT electromagnetic field simulation software, starting from its failure mechanism, the radial and tangential electromagnetic force of magnetic slot wedge in the complex air-gap magnetic field was analyzed. The reliability of magnetic slot wedge in the electric machine running process was illustrated by comparing the analysis result of the same phase and different phase slot wedges working status in the short-circuit fault conditions with the capacity of magnetic slot wedge to bear the force. Thus the failure of electric machine operation is reduced, the lifetime is improved and the reliability of electric machine operation is enhanced. The study has high engineering use value and theoretical significance.
