Reliability and Failure Mechanism Analysis of Leakage Circuit Breaker
The leakage circuit breaker of electrical protection is a common breaker in the low-voltage circuit and plays an important role in the prevention of electric shock and leakage accident.Its reliability study not only can have.certain economic benefits, but also have a wide range of social benefits.On this paper, the reliability and failure mechanism of leakage circuit breaker are studied.The Chinese National Institute Standard GB/Z22202-2008, Reliability test methods of residual current operated circuit breakers for household and similar purposes is selected as basis of the tests.Operating failure rate test, instantaneous protection success rate test and residual current protection success rate test have been finished according to this national standard.Beside these, the EMC test has been finished, because malfunction occurs during success rate test.To confirm failure cause, research on failure samples is done after tests.In the end of this paper, improvement measure is suggested.
