Application of Matter-element Theory and Fuzzy Theory in the Reliability Evaluation of Electric Equipment

In view of the existing of uncertainty and subjectivity in the reliability assessment, this paper proposes a evaluation method which combined matter-element theory and fuzzy theory into an organic whole. In the process of evaluation, this method firstly establishes matter-element model of the object by using matter-element theory, using membership function to map objects each reliability evaluation index for a fuzzy distribution function of fuzzy evaluation conclusion. Then, on the basis of various indicators given different weights, this paper obtains the reliability assessment results of objects by using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. This method is objective, simple, easy, and can be expressed in the form of quantitative evaluation results. This paper verifies the feasibility and practicality of the method, taking the neutral grounding via arc suppression coil damping resistors in power system short circuit control system as an example.
