The Optimize Design of the Moulded Case Circuit Breaker Contact Based on ADAMS

  In this paper the virtual prototyping technology was used to the design of circuit breaker.On analyzation of the disadvantage of traditional molded case circuit breaker, a new contact system according to the requirements of improving was established.the frame of traditional contact system was changed;the bounce of contact will not happen because of collision avoidance when switch on;switch off arc was eliminated automatically.The fabric is very simple and do not need to design arc chamber.the sliding force of two contacts will eliminate the oxide film.Apply ADAMS to the analysis of traditional contact and new contact, it saved time during design, also improve the efficiency and reduce the cost.Many useful dates were got by dynamic simulation.
