Estimation of Quasi-Static Action of Explosion Products in the Directed Destruction of Rock

The article deals with the mathematical calculation of explosion products movement in the blast-hole for justification of quasistatic process of rock destruction. The results of model experiment of elongated cylindrical charge explosion to check theoretical calculations using the hypothetical accounting of tension waves interaction between adjacent cavities are described, and estimated time of crack formation process is defined. For studies of numerical calculations of the model experiments were carried out on an optically transparent models by high-speed photography. As a result of the shooting was received sequence of frames of the process gas exhaust and stress wave propagation,as well as the process of crack development. When considering the interference pattern observed the development of major cracks in the plane of division and the remaining visible gaseous combustion products in the hole. For modeling the interaction of stress waves from adjacent charges to the two side faces of the model were applied smooth rigid plates, thereby allowing the interference of stress waves from the rigid boundaries (symmetry axes). As the result the resource opportunities of explosion quasistatic action for the directed rock destruction between the adjacent elongated charges is demonstrated.
