Numerical Estimation of Crater Size of the RC Wall Caused by Blasting
When we apply the demolition blasting partially to the reinforced concrete wall,the stress waves reflected from the free surfaces are interacted with each other.The fragmentation interact those stress waves and the phenomena become very complicated.Four types of the situations of the fragmentations can be considered.One is the no crater,second case has the crater of the borehole side,the third case is the crater of the opposite side,and last case is the crater of both sides.If the diameter and the angle of the borehole,and the kind of the stemming are fixed,those situations may be determined by the amount of explosive and depth of borehole.In this paper,we investigate the estimation method for crate size using numerical simulations.In this paper,the numerical results are shown.
