Evaluation of Progressive Collapse of Blasting Demolition for Culvert Structures
In this study, objects of demolition are underground culvert structures to be removed for entire width of road.In order to evaluate the effectiveness and verification of collapse, numerical analysis and scaled model test were performed.Collapse were evaluated by DCR (demand-capacity ratio) method for linear static analysis based on the GSA(General Service Administration) guideline.Scaled model tests were carried out to verify the numerical analysis results. As a result of model experiment,it was confirmed that roof slab and soil cover were collapsed due to internal blast pressure when the center column was eliminated by explosive.
