Relationship between the Fragmentation Effect and the Blast Wave on the Controlled Blasting for Breaching

  The breaching is one of the supporting technologies of quick rescue at the time of a disaster.In order to rescue the survivors in need of help,a part of concrete wall is removed by the breaching.We have proposed the usage of the explosive to establish quick and safety technique for the breaching.A series of the blast experiments were conducted using model Reinforced Concrete (RC) wall.To clarify the influence to the blast wave caused by the difference of the fragmentation effects,the blast wave measurements and the high-speed photography were performed.There were three configuration of the fragmentation.First have the crater at the borehole side only,the second have that at the back side,and last cases have that at the both sides of the wall.The results of the first and last cases were compared to discuss the influence to the blast wave caused by the difference of the fragmentation effects.
