Blasting Demolition of L Shape Frame Structure Building in Downtown District
Blasting demolition of 8-storey L shape frame structure building in downtown district was introduced in the paper.The building consist of North-South parts and East-West parts,was divided into 2 independent parts by a 120mm wide settlement joint in the corner.Based on characteristics of building structure and surrounding environment condition,the overall blasting demolition scheme that utilized settlement joint,reasonable delay and collapsed in the same direction was proposed firstly.According to the overall scheme,the relays initiating circuit was designed that the delay time between 2 parts of the L shape was 460 ms,the blasting demolition parameters and safeguard measures were also introduced detailed.Advises for similar building were given based on analyzing the building collapse process,the muck pile and vibration monitoring results,which has a certain reference meaning for similar projects.
