Plant Selection of Roof Greening in Chengdu City Based on Living Environment Analysis
Existing researches have shown that the living environment of roof greening plants in Chengdu is not quite the same because of architectural types, escheatage, and proportion size etc.Respectively making plant selection criterion after roof classification and thus recommending appropriate plant types are beneficial for the scientific research and popularization for the selection of roof greening plants.Analyses about plant living environmental factors of light, wind, precipitation, temperature and soil have been carried out by applying the methods of statistics, literature research and quantitative calculation etc.Results have shown that the roof environment in Chengdu is advantageous and suitable for plant growth;each environmental features of roof type is distinct.Therefore, the roofs of built-up area in Chengdu can be categorized as the superior type, the typical type and the extensive type.With the combination of literature and field investigation, plant selection criterion has been made based on plant types, body size, root depth and various kinds of resistance indexes.
