The early rising economic and social development of Japan has been enlightening in many terms, the regional characteristics of the landscape industry in particular.It brings to the local region not only the beautiful landscape resources, but also a quality of culture.To develop regional landscape for its own sake also drives the regions overall development and effectively solves practical social problems.After an observation of Echigo-Tsumariin Japan, the author of this paper, taking the local Echigo-Tsumari Art Fieldas the case, expounds on the benefits brought about by the regional landscaping activities for the region.While drawing on the beneficial experiences, the author attempts to find enlightenmentfor the development of Chinas regional landscape architecture, especially the landscape planning and design in rural area..
