DESIGN FOR MIX PROPORTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE FACING SLAB IN COLD REGION

  In cold region, the asphalt concrete facing slab is superior than the conventional reinforced concrete facing slab while used for anti-seepage, and the performance of asphalt concrete for resisting frozen-fracture in low temperature is the critical factor to determine whether the project is successful.In this paper, based on the upper reservoir project of Huhehot pumped storage station, the key technology of mix proportion design and construction of asphalt concrete facing slab in cold region were introduced.In addition, the feasibility for construction of asphalt concrete facing slab while in low temperature was studied.All these may be referred to by similar projects.
