INFLUENCE OF PORE REFINEMENT ON CHLORIDE TRANSPORT IN CEMENT-BASED MATERIAL
Special attention is paid to the chloride transport in cement-based material regarding pore refinement during hydration. The capillary porosity in hydrating cement-based material is obtained from existing models.A modified Ficks 2nd law is proposed to account for the influence of pore refinement on chloride transportof cement-based material at early age.The simulated chloride profile with or without pore refinement being considered are compared in terms of curing duration (before exposure) and exposure duration. The results demonstrate the significance of pore refinement for chloride transport of cement-based material at early age.
