The Study of how to establish the proper size for small bases for child-care in the urban areas of Japan
This paper considers how small childcare facilities that are safer and more comfortable may be built based on an evaluation of nursery rooms.This paper presents information that can be used to establish new standards for childcare facilities;the implementation of such standards can improve childcare environments.1) Based on the relationship of the size and facility type and actually used areas, we consider how to use the nursery room.2) Relationships between actually used areas and room areas, situated play areas and actually used areas and wall were investigated.Based on these relationships, we determined the effectiveness of situated play areas.In addition, based on available wall space, we considered nursery rooms in situated play areas.3) By the presence or absence of the situated play area, we found the relationship between indoor and area parameters to be evaluated.In that relationship, situated play area in 0.1-year-old class is valid.
