A Study of Architectural Public Spaces of physical conception

The key entity of a space is the body of the person, an existential being, inhabiting in the space. The space wherein the body of the person has been installed is not only an environment comprising physical elements but also an empirical environment based on the concept of physical conception which is an arena of human experiences. This study addressed the importance of the human body by examining various perspectives about the human body that is represented in contemporary architectural spaces and attempted to understand the meaning of physical conception spaces, thereby defining the idea and expressive characteristics of physical conception which is continuously present in spaces and yet is ignored too often.Based on the said processes, experiences and communications are created which require active engagement of the human body which will determine stimuli and the responses thereto.Further, awareness is achieved of the importance of architectural public spaces serving as the focal point of the public and fulfilling social functions thereto.Based on such understanding of physical conception, it was attempted to explore possibilities of creating human-centered spaces wherein the user of such spaces become the active participant and creator of spatial experiences.
