A Study on Method of Applying Building Information Modeling(BIM) in the Demolition Stage of Building
Recently BIM (Building Information Modeling) becomes mandatory in Korea and BIM introduction to the construction field is accelerating.BIM is a design tool for maximizing the efficiency in architecture, construction and maintenance throughout the lifecycle of buildings, but there is a lack of the studies on BIM application in the demolition stage.Thus this study has surveyed the BIM application by construction project, analyzed the general process of building demolition and then suggested the process to which BIM can be allied in conjunction with the prediction of C&D waste.The process suggested in this study is expected to serve as the basic data for enabling BIM application to building demolition.
