The Production of Architectural Space in the Modern Imagination: A Case Study of the Water-Moon Dharma Center of Nung Chan Monastery in Taipei, Taiwan

  This article will take the new Nun Chan Monastery(農禪寺水月道埸) in Taipei as a case study.The argument is to take the environmental ethics as a new turn for a possible approach to contemplate the modernization of traditional architecture, while facing the challenge of the modernization of traditional Chan monastery, under the context of urbanization, how architectural design tried to blend the milieu, introspect from the Buddhism, and the ethic of traditional society to the environmental ethics with the design philosophy.
