Research on the Pattern of Chinese Buddhism Temples Soundscape Based on Historical Written Materials
As one of Chinas three major religions, Buddhism has a long history, glorious culture and broad influence.In China, Buddhism can be divided into Chinese Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism and Theravada Buddhism.In these three branches, Chinese Buddhism has the most far-reaching impact on China and surrounding areas.Its unique soundscape pattern has great research value.Following the principle that historical written materials must be original, the author studied Biography of Eminent Monks,the Commentaries on Nanhai Jigui Neifa, Fa Yuan Zhu Lin, etc..On this basis, the unique constitution of Chinese Buddhism temples soundscape was constructed and then the distinctive pattern of it was induced and analyzed from the perspectives of background sound, mark sound and signal sound.
