Assessment Methodology of Eco-economic Performance of PHC Pile Operation
Geo-technical construction is resource intensive operation. It has a great potential to achieve low carbon construction by its very nature. This paper introduces a method which assesses the eco-economic performance of PHC pile construction. The standard PHC pile operation model, of which the level of detail is breakdown into the work task level, is developed. It makes use of the equipments hourly fuel consumption and resources hourly cost information to estimate the variability of performance indicators (i.e., operation completion time, cost, and amount of carbon emissions) of the PHC pile operation. The method allows users to query the probability to complete the operation within a performance limit.
