The unique MULTISAFE pump technology with the hermetically sealed redundant double hose-diaphragms ensures double safety for transportation of critical and environmentally critical fluids like bauxite slurry and red mud.In the well-known Bayer process for the production of aluminium oxide traditional diaphragm pumps are used for the conveyance of bauxite slurry into the digester and pulping plants as well as for the hydrotransport of the generated red mud to the disposal site.These traditional diaphragm pumps however lack the required redundancy.In case of damages these pumps are insufficiently secured resulting in process failures.Only the unique, hermetically sealed FELUWA MULTISAFE double hose-diaphragm pumps are characterized by optimal availability in continuous operation thus ensuring reliable process safety, even at high pumping temperatures.In case of failure or leakage of one hose-diaphragm the second hose-diaphragm ensures that the pump operation can be continued to the next planned shutdown of the plant.Flow-optimized check valves ensure that the highly abrasive and chemically aggressive slurry is conveyed linearly and without diversions.The medium is only in contact with the permanently resistant hose-diaphragms and the check valves.A wide range of pump types in Duplex, Triplex or Quintuplex design reliably covers the performance range up to 1,000 m3/h and 500 bar.
